Samuela Iaconis, nata a Varese il 5 febbraio 1979, stampatrice professionista d’immagini da oltre 10 anni e fotografa dall’adolescenza.

Attratta da molti generi fotografici ma soprattutto dalla ritrattistica espressiva, ricerca l’essenza delle persone fotografandole in modo istintivo e passionale.
Un’attività di ricerca artistica attraversata da un unico “fil rouge”: la visione surrogata della realtà.
Immagini di una realtà surrogata dunque, che consentono di spiegare o meglio di liberare a livello catartico le emozioni estreme che vengono rappresentate a “tinte forti” e mediante gesti espressivi, quasi da palcoscenico.

Dal 2008 espone e collabora a vari progetti fotografici, focalizzando la sua attenzione sulle tematiche delle maschere, del travestimento e del trucco e concentrandosi su semplici persone del mondo quotidiano. Soggetti che si scoprono attori di se stessi su scene volutamente alterate (photoset), perché – come affermava Saudek –  ”la fotografia è teatro, con una scena fissa e gli attori cambiano continuamente“.

Samuela Iaconis, born February 5th 1979 in Varese, photos professional printer for over 10 years of images and photograph since adolescence. Attracted to many photographic genres but especially by the expressive portraits, she search people’s essence photographing them with instinct and passion. His artistic activity is crossed by a single “common thread”: surrogate vision of reality. Images of a surrogate reality, therefore, that help explain or rather cathartic release at the extreme emotions that are represented with “strong colors” and through expressive gestures. Since 2008 she worked at various exhibits, and photo projects, focusing his attention on the issues of masks, disguises and makeup and focusing on simple people’s everyday world. Subjects that discover themselves actors on scenes deliberately altered (photoset), because – as Saudek said- “Photography is the theater, with a fixed scene and the actors are constantly changing.”
